The '''BAN-TYO''' (「BAN-TYO」or alternatively バンチョー Banchō) (Dub: Bancho/Boss/Ringleader) is a group of five Digimon in the Digital World with the word “Bancho” in their names, a term that loosely translates to “ringleader”. All five of them possess enormous pride and strong conviction, and wear a long school uniform jacket known as a “gakuran”. The title of “Bancho” was originally taken by Digimon who watched old movies and admired the idea of such “ringleaders”. Upon their demise, these Digmon would then bestow the title onto befitting Digimon of the next generation, creating a custom of inheritance. Apparently there are other Digimon out there bearing this title.  They are said to be the enemies of the D-Brigade.
